Marilyn Liedman’s life as an artist began as a small child growing up in Philadelphia and continued as a young adult studying through her high school years at the Philadelphia Museum School and the University of Pennsylvania. Her artistic career began as a student of Fine Arts at the University of Miami.

After marriage and children, she returned to school to study architecture and developed an interest in combining those skills with her fine arts background. A career in the field of Architectural Arts was created, as was her love for creating with watercolor. For 25 years she produced architectural renderings in various watercolor media and continued her education studying with Millard Wells, prestigious member of the American and National Watercolor Societies.  Her experience of painting on location (plein air) in the south Florida Keys and in her travels throughout the world has been invaluable in shaping her present career as a watercolor artist.

Marilyn and her husband, Steve, have been residents of South Florida for over 40 years and presently reside on Key Biscayne.
