Close to the top of Beech Mountain in North Carolina sits this historic home. It once was home to the governor of Tennessee and was moved to its present location many years ago. I was so fortunate to have the opportunity to paint it en plein air and enjoy a private tour by the present owners who have refurbished the house to its original authenticity. The mill still works.
